"Today is the first day of your life because it has never been before, and the last day because it will never be again. Be alive, if you can, all through this day, today of your life." Frederick Buechner, "The Alphabet of Grace"

My name is Joel Bidderman. I'm from Arizona, and I most identify myself with the White Mountain area because most of my early defining moments happened to me there. I'm a mountain boy, which in order to "get" me or my music, first you'll have to know that. My favorite place is nature. Another thing that must be understood is that my life is all about what I was created for. That is: a relationship with God. I believe God really speaks to me, and while I'm not always at all good at hearing, I believe that God likes me. I really like Jazz and Blues music, but most of what I write ends up sounding like folk. That's cool, but I try as much as I can to put my influences into it. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't, but I have fun at it.

I've been writing, performing and recording music for a little over 10 years now. I have about 5 CD projects (the first one is hard to come by) and I'm still making more. I also lead worship for churches, youth groups, colleges, random gatherings, and
of course I play for coffee houses. I prefer intimate settings where I can share the story behind the songs, and the journey that led me to write them.
